Insurance ...The Risk Management

It is a form of risk management primarily used to hedge against the risk of a contingent loss. Insurance is defined as the equitable transfer of the risk of a loss, from one entity to another, in exchange for a premium, and can be thought of as a guaranteed small loss to prevent a large, possibly devastating loss. An insurer is a company selling the insurance; an insured or policyholder is the person or entity buying the insurance. The insurance rate is a factor used to determine the amount to be charged for a certain amount of insurance coverage, called the premium. Risk management, the practice of appraising and controlling risk, has evolved as a discrete field of study and practice.

DDR3 SDRAM : The Future RAM

DDR3 SDRAM or double-data-rate three synchronous dynamic random access memory is a random access memory interface technology used for high bandwidth storage of the working data of a computer or other digital electronic devices.

The new Intel P35 chipset, known as Bearlake during development, supports either DDR2 or DDR3 memory. This presented a perfect opportunity to look at the performance of both DDR3 and DDR2 on the new P35 chipset.

DDR3 boasting higher Megahertz ratings than DDR2 - but at the expense of increased latency. As manufacturers have pushed DDR2 well beyond its originally intended PC2-6400 (800MHz effective data rate) and since there does not appear to be any letup in the "need for speed", memory manufacturers have started making DDR3 devices in order to far surpass the bandwidth they can easily get from DDR2 devices - and reduce power consumption and heat generation at the same time.
DDR3's run at lower voltages - they generate less heat.

Features

DDR3 SDRAM Components:

  • Introduction of asynchronous RESET pin
  • Support of system level flight time compensation
  • On-DIMM mirror friendly DRAM pin out
  • Introduction of CWL (CAS Write Latency) per clock bin

DDR3 Modules:

  • Fly-by command/address/control bus with on-DIMM termination
  • High precision calibration resistors
Advantages compared with DDR2
  • Higher bandwidth performance, effectively up to 1600 MHz
  • Improved latencies as measured in nanoseconds.
  • Higher performance at low power (longer battery life in laptops)
  • Enhanced low power features

UPDATES FOR TCS 2009 BATCH

TCS : No 1 Indian Software Firm

experience certainty

UPDATES ON 14-05-09:

First of all don't fight my friends becoz we all are future of our TCS.

Points I want to make clear:

1. Neither SASTRA nor PATIALA got their DOJ yet.
2. Today I have telephonic conversion wid one of ma senior who is currently working wid TCS and he also agrees that this time medical can be at ILP center as cost cutting measures.
3. I already discussed what Pre-ILP training means. It doesn't have any benefit apart from knwledge. So chill..
4. All of us will get joining that is confirmed because TCS has grabbed most of the project this year and banglore and chennai have lots of project waiting for us.

TCS HR mail to our TPO:

TCS is a brand name and it will
hold the promise by honoring all the offers being made to all students.
However the market is volatile and this is what is not letting us to
exactly tell students, the precise date of joining but we will certainly
consider the preferred date of joining given by the candidate(while
accepting the offer letter) before batching them.

Kindly communicate this to all students to remain confident about their
joining. I will come back to you with further updates as soon as possible.

Pre ILP:

They used Dr.Scheme to conduct the Pre-ILP course . Before coming to ILP please get some ideas about the following

Structured programming
Structured Modeling
Object oriented programming
Object oriented programming to implement a case(real time)

http://elearning.tvm.tcs.co.in/courses.php
Go to this link. Concentrate more on OOPs and Structured design.

TCS HR @ Pune:

TCS HR visited a college and said that Batches haven't been finalized yet .So there is delay in medical checkup . 2009 batch will get joining September onwards....

TCS extends training period:

Tata Consultancy Services has decided to lengthen the training duration for campus recruits to six months from three months, said Ajoy Mukherjee, Vice-President and Head, Global Human Resources, TCS.

“At the fresher level, we have five or six common streams. Instead of training them in just one stream, now we would be training them in two different streams (domain areas or specialisations like maintenance, ERP, Java, .net etc),” said Mukherjee.

Indian IT majors have been finding it tough to keep techies occupied, especially freshers, since new projects are petering off.

While the move may slightly up the company’s employee costs, Mukherjee feels that the investments would help in development of organisational competencies.

“We are flexible about it; if suddenly the market changes and there is sufficient demand we will adjust accordingly,” he said. The training programme can be accessed by campus recruits from various centres of TCS.

During the fiscal gone by, TCS had hired more than 22,500 freshers; more than 1,000 had joined during the fourth quarter. Earlier this year, Infosys Technologies also increased the training duration for freshers from three-and-a-half months to six months.

MEDICAL Check Up:

Today we talkd to our T&P and he said that recently he recieved a mail from TCS saying that we will be communicated abt MEDICALS shortly.......!!

TCS Bond:

U will have to deposit 50,000 Rs, by draft or get a surety of any income tax payee owning some land stating that they will pay this bond amount in case u leave the company before the bond period.

UPDATES TILL 23 SEPTEMBER 2009

As I told you long back that joining will start from september onwards and now all of you can see thats came true. I can assure you that each and every information written here has trusty source.

1) I talked to one of my senior and he told me dat 2nd batch vil b called in oct.TCS will inform abt joining jst 15 days b4 .TCS will call arnd 2k students in batches in oct n major intake will b in 3rd quater(oct-dec) as said by Global HR mr. Mukherjee he also said dat dis time training period is increased.
He told me dat more than one batch trained at ILP center parallely and time span between two batch joining can be 15-40 days.
So have patience n u vil b informed abt joining very soon...

2) The variable pay component, paid monthly, accounts for 19% of the total pay package of trainees and now they would have to be content with 9.5%.

If u r not getting VA for six months, it's automatically going to be 9.5%... coz VA will start after 6 months.. So if it's cut down from 19% to 9.5% , that 9.5% won't be incurred for 12 months.

3)Dis yr tcs called CS/IT students earlier dan non cs/it students( I mean branch is criteria dis yr)

4) ILP is now called ITP -> Initial Training Program.

5)TCS has sent a total of 3 OLs to date. The second and third are the same. Please check your status at nextstep for acceptance of offer letter.

TCS LOAN POLICY

TCS give at maximum of 30K rupees to its employee which are interest free and deducted from salary in comming months.

FOREX ......Foregin Exchange

Here I have make a bold attempt to cover some important aspects of
FOREX trading. You will learn how to identify trading opportunities, how to time the market ( smart guessing), and when to take profits or close a trade.

But that's not all folks.

You will also learn how to predict the future and never have a losing trade.

Yeah right.

The Foreign Exchange market, also referred to as the "FOREX" or "Forex" or "Retail forex" or "FX" or "Spot FX" or just "Spot" is the largest financial market in the world, with a volume of over $4 trillion a day.It actually equates to more than three times the total amount of the stocks and futures markets combined! Forex rocks!

Forex trading is the simultaneous buying of one currency and the selling of another. Currencies are traded through a broker or dealer, and are traded in pairs.

The Forex market is considered an Over-the-Counter (OTC) or 'Interbank' market, due to the fact that the entire market is run electronically, within a network of banks, continuously over a 24-hour period.

Sentimental analysis is what it sounds like – gauging the market sentiment. What does that mean? Well, as traders, a part of our job is to determine if a market is bullish, bearish, overbought, oversold, and to plan a trade for those market conditions – basically putting all of the things we’ve learned up until this point all together.

Well, in stocks and options, sentiment is measured using volume data. For instance, if a declining stock suddenly reversed on high volume that means the market sentiment may have changed from bearish to bullish. Or if a stock price was rising on gradually declining volume, then that may be a sign of an overbought market.
